LONDON – Castlemore Securities has completed the funding for its £140 million retail scheme at Gallions Reach, Beckton, in East London. After more than nine months of on-off negotiations, specialist retail park investor Pillar Property has fully funded the scheme on terms that, according to Castlemore, ‘reflect the strengths of what is one of the very last out-of-town sites with open A1 planning consents.’

Planning consent exists for 300,000 sq ft of retail, 90,000 sq ft of leisure and 12,000 sq ft of restaurants. Tesco has signed up to anchor the project with a 109,000 sq ft food store.
