One of the nation's leading timeshare companies, Trendwest during the quarter added 32 units at Branson, MO; 39 units at St. George, UT; 26 units at Depoe Bay, OR, and 35 units at Bison Town, AZ. In addition, Trendwest Resorts South Pacific added 10 units at The Horizon Resort in Port Stephens, New South Wales.
"Later this year will bring additional vacation destinations as we add Kihei in Maui, Hawaii and Oceanside in California to our stable,'' said William F. Peare, chief executive officer. "In addition, we recently completed negotiations with Interval International to expand the vacation alternatives that we will be able to offer prospective purchasers of our products.
The company, which completed a 3-for-2 split of common shares last month, opened an off-site sales office in Sydney, Australia, its fourth sales office in the South Pacific. Trendwest also opened off-site sales offices in Englewood, Colo., and Overland Park, Kan., and on-site sales offices at Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Branson, Mo.
