Resort Purchases Continue to Push Trendwest

REDMOND, WA-Trendwest Resorts Inc. pointed to its domestic and international purchases of condominium resorts to explain its positive first-quarter results. The company reported net income of $11.8 million, or $0.46 per diluted share, for its first quarter, which ended March 31. Those numbers were up from the same period a year ago – net income of $9.7 million or $.38 per diluted share for the same quarter last year.

One of the nation’s leading timeshare companies, Trendwest during the quarter added 32 units at Branson, MO; 39 units at St. George, UT; 26 units at Depoe Bay, OR, and 35 units at Bison Town, AZ. In addition, Trendwest Resorts South Pacific added 10 units at The Horizon Resort in Port Stephens, New South Wales.
