"We are specifically in the development business," Peter Barber, president of NDC Development, tells GlobeSt.com. Barber also emphasizes that the culture of his company is less that of a corporation and more of a group of associates.
According to a released statement, since 1995 NDC Development has developed over $600 million and 3.5 million sf of commercial real estate throughout New England. Among the company's recent projects are a 90,000 sf office building in Wellesley, MA for SunLife Financial; an 80,000-sf office building on Route 128 for Liberty Mutual Group; and graduate housing for Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA. The company is also involved in permitting a number of supermarkets for Roche Bros. and will be building them.
This past February, Barber created a strategic alliance with Jerry Rappaport's New Boston Fund, Inc. to develop capital-based projects. The partnership was called New Development Capital Partners.
