Genesis Corporate Center Two-Thirds Taken

CARLSBAD, CA-Nine buildings make up a new 102,200-sf flex-office development nearing completion within the Carlsbad Research Center, and two-thirds of them have been leased or sold, according to Colliers International, which is leasing the 8.5-acre project on behalf of developer Pacific Carlsbad Partners.Construction began on the $20 million project in October and is slated for completion this month. Smith Consulting Architects is the designer. The buildings are located at 5930-5962 Priestly Dr. and range is size from 6,300 sf to 17,000 sf.

Ron Jacobson, the Colliers vice president who holds the leasing assignment, tells GlobeSt that two buildings have been leased and four buildings have been sold. All deals are contingent on completion of the buildings. The listed annual lease rate for the buildings is between $1.75/sf. and $1.85/sf.
