Shaver most recently spent eight years with Cushman & Wakefield's local office. In 1999, Shaver was named the company's top producer in San Francisco and received its service excellence award for the second year in a row. He began his career with what would become Colliers International after earning his degree in business economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Just prior to joining Insignia/ESG, Shaver was president of ITI Solutions, a division of WorkPlace USA, a Dallas-based consulting firm with expertise in telecommunications and Internet infrastructure. He has represented various clients during his career, including Pacific Bell Directories where Shaver managed a 1 million sf statewide portfolio for more than five years. Shaver was also the preferred provider for Bank of America.

As a representative for institutional property owners and landlords, Shaver repositioned a 460,000 sf warehouse in Bayview Hunters Point into one of the area's first master-planned Telco carrier hotels.

San Francisco is a key growth market for Insignia/ESG, according to Robert K. Shibuya, executive managing director of the firm's western region. The company is committed a strategy of building dominant market share by recruiting key individual talent like Shaver, Shibuya added.

Since opening the San Francisco office in January 1999, Insignia/ESG has completed more than 4 million sf of office transactions in the market.
