The hotel was opened in 1984 and is one of the three hotels connected to the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center. The 65,000-sf hotel has 38 floors and 35 meeting rooms. It is the second to largest hotel in the area, behind the Sheraton Boston Hotel.
Westbrook relocated its headquarters to the area two years ago and recently opened an office in London. The company also has sites in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas and Singapore. This past Decemeber, the company acquired half of 1 Beacon Street, a 1.1 million sf office building. Other holdings here include 18 Tremont Avenue, 711 Atlantic Avenue, 99 High Street, and 25 First Street.
