Marriott Copley Place Rumored to be on the Market

BOSTON- The Boston Marriott Copley Place is rumored to be on the market with unconfirmed reports indicating that Westbrook Partners LLC is currently in talks to purchase the 1,147 room hotel. While the hotel is reportedly listed with Atlanta, GA-based Hodges Ward Elliott Inc., Bob Webster, Hodges’s executive vice president and listing broker, would only tell GlobeSt.com that he declines comment on any questions. Sources tell GlobeSt.com that there is truth to the circulating rumors.

The hotel was opened in 1984 and is one of the three hotels connected to the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center. The 65,000-sf hotel has 38 floors and 35 meeting rooms. It is the second to largest hotel in the area, behind the Sheraton Boston Hotel.
