LOS ANGELES-As industrial users continue to vie for space in the county’s tight industrial market, construction has begun on the $28-million Pacific Gateway Business Park that will dump more than 500,000 sf of industrial space onto the market by September 2001.
Shell construction has begun on two speculative industrial buildings that will rise in Pico Rivera. The facilities, which are being developed by LA-based Robertson Properties Group, will total 550,000 sf. They are being built on a 27-acre parcel, with one facility to rise at 8460 E. Whittier Blvd. and the other at rise at 5102 Industry Ave.
The site at East Whittier Boulevard will be used as a cross-dock facility, with 105 dock doors, parking for 407 cars and 26 truck trailers. It will encompass 372,542 sf and will include an imbedded communications infrastructure.
