Griffith spent the past 11 years at San Francisco-based Shorenstein Realty Services. As a Shorenstein vice president, Griffith managed a portfolio of about seven million sf of commercial in six states.

Prior to joining Shorenstein, Griffith served as a division manager with New York-based Abrams Bensich Riker. He also had worked for Milton Meyer & Co. Based in the company's Miami offices, Griffith will manage about nine million sf of office, industrial and retail properties in Florida and Puerto Rico.

Shorenstein manages a total global portfolio of about 148 million sf office, 56 million sf of industrial, 15 million sf of retail and five million sf of mixed-use space.

Insignia Financial Group last reported a net loss of $2.5 million, or 13 cents a share, on total real estate revenue of $191 million for the first quarter ended March 31, compared with a net loss of $4.7 million, or 23 cents a share, on revenue of $169 million for the same period in 2000.
