Arden Realty's building is fully leased to multiple tenants, including Smith Barney, Gruntel & Co., Weissman & Wolf and Sutro & Co. JB Oxford was represented by Jeff Cowan of Julien J. Studley's LA office. The building owner, locally based REIT Arden Realty, was represented in-house by Gayle Landes.

The JB Oxford deal is the latest in a string of transactions involving financial-services firms that have either expanded in LA or have announced plans to stay here, despite the county's slowing economy. Last week, the law firm of McCutchen, Doyle, Brown and Enersen LLP signed a $25-million lease for 76,470 sf at Downtown's KPMG Tower.

Just a few days earlier, Lockton Insurance Brokers signed a 10-year renewal for 47,984 sf at Downtown's Ernst & Young Plaza in a deal valued at about $12 million. The law firm of Weston, Benshoof, Rochefort also signed an 11-year sublease valued at about $15 million for 60,000 sf of office space at 333 S. Hope St.
