New Zealand Lamb Cooperative is relocating from 106 Corporate Park Dr. in White Plains. The company will occupy space on the third floor of the 20 Westport Rd. building. The New Zealand Lamb Cooperative was formed more than 40 years ago to import premium lamb from New Zealand into the North American market. A consortium of international meat companies, according to Louis Dreyfus officials, owns it.

David J. Friedman, northeast regional vice president of Louis Dreyfus Property Group, represented the building owner in the transaction. Brett Sherman of Choyce Peterson Inc. of Stamford, represented New Zealand Lamb Cooperative. Friedman says the tenant hopes to move into its new offices at the building by July 2001.

With the signing of the New Zealand Lamb Cooperative lease, the building here is approximately 97% leased, with just 10,732 sf of space available on the third floor. Other companies that will be moving to the building include: Louis Dreyfus Corp., the parent company of Louis Dreyfus Property Group; News America Marketing, which is relocating its headquarters from Norwalk; PanAmSat Corporation, which is moving from Greenwich, and John W. Henry & Company.

"We are delighted that just 18 months after we began construction of 20 Westport Rd., we are now nearing full occupancy with a roster of world-class tenants.," Friedman relates.

The Westport Road complex is located on a 57-acre heavily wooded site on Route 33. The property also includes 10 Westport Rd., a 200,000-sf office building that is fully occupied. When completed, 20Westport Rd. will have such amenities as a full-service cafeteria, a fitness center, conference facility and covered parking. It will feature two wings with approximately 167,500 sf each on three levels. The wings are connected by enclosed bridges on each level and result in floor plates of 56,000 sf to 115,000 sf. Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates designed both buildings.
