World Trade Center Tacoma Seeking New Home

TACOMA, WA-The World Trade Center Tacoma has a new executive director and his first goal is to find a real estate developer to build a downtown complex that will give the center exposure. While a few of Andreas Udbye’s predecessors also had dreams of a high-profile downtown location, the chance may finally fall into place for Udbye, a native of Norway who graduated from nearby Pacific Lutheran University.

An area between the downtown Sheraton Hotel and the Foss Waterway is rumored to be the most realistic option. The World Trade Center Tacoma, a “franchise” with similar locations around the world, is seeking rent-free space in exchange for having is “World Trade Center” sign prominently placed on the side of a building.
