RSP Architects Ltd. will be the single tenant of the brewhouse at 1220 Marshall Street N.E., and is also the architect on the project.

Prior to closing, de-construction was pursued to address environmental issues and equipment and demolition removal related to the site's previous use as a brewery, according to Ryan officials.

The project, which is estimated by MCDA officials to cost $19 million, is expected to be completed by January 2002.

"We have worked in close cooperation with the MCDA and RSP to work through the de-construction phase to ensure this historic structure meets today's building requirements," says Rick Collins, Ryan vice president of office development.

Collins said he hopes the brewhouse renovation will play in the continued revitalization of Northeast Minneapolis.

RSP Architects Ltd. is a Minneapolis-based architectural firm with 240 employees across the US, including a Twin Cities staff of about 200. RSP has such diverse specialties as corporate and interior architecture, retail, industrial and institutional projects.
