Cadbury Schweppes has agreed a five-year lease on the 9,432 sq ft second floor paying £27.00 ($38.43) per sq ft while Finlower - an soft furnishings wholesaler, has also taken a five-year lease on the 2,386 sq ft ground floor.
Centinal was the only building providing new, Grade A office space in the Hertfordshire town when it was launched in the spring 2000. The third and fourth floors are let to Polo Jeans, part of the Ralph Lauren Group. UK accountancy firm Baker Tilly recently took a 15-year lease for the second floor. In addition to the office, the development provides 136 car parking spaces.
Simon Crowe, agency and development surveyor at CB Hillier Parker said: 'Centinal is now fully let and has seen rents increase from the first letting of £23.25 ($33) per sq ft in June 2000 to the present rent levels. The demand level we have had is indicative of the strength of the market in Watford for high quality office accommodation with sufficient parking.'
CB Hillier Parker and Sworder Belcher Holt were letting agents. Strutt & Parker represented Cadbury Schweppes and Lambert Smith Hampton represented Finlower.
