Healey & Baker is currently involved in the management, or design consultancy and pre-opening management of 4.5 million sq ft of retail property across Central Europe, out of a total of over ten million sq ft that it manages across Europe.

The team is headed by Phil Evans, Retail Management Partner at Healey & Baker's London HQ. Paul Anderson is transfering to H's Budapest office from Kuwait to specialise in asset and financial management and Michael Atwell will transfer to Warsaw from Budapest to concentrate on new build, design consultation and pre-opening management set-up.

Evans explained that as the Central European market approaches maturity it is ripe for a more disciplined approach to shopping centre management: 'Central Europe has seen huge retail growth over the past few years, and in addition there are almost seven million sq ft of schemes currently in the pipeline - which is almost double the area that we currently manage in the region.'
