The law firm, which will house 45 lawyers plus support staff, will occupy the top four floors of the 576,964-sf office complex. Jenkens & Gilchrist has its corporate headquarters in another Crescent building, 1445 Ross Ave. in Dallas. "We have a longstanding relationship with them as a customer at one of our premier properties in Dallas," says Jane Page, Crescent's senior vice president of asset management & leasing for the Houston region.
Andrius Kontrimas, managing shareholder of Jenkens & Gilchrist, says the company is eager to move into its new space. "We are working closely with the contractors to creatively design our offices as a further testament to our client-centered focus," he says. The firm currently offices on the 18th floor of the CBD's 1100 Louisiana building.
Crescent expects 5 Houston Center will be done by year's end. Together with its sister buildings 1,2 and 4 Houston Center, the Crescent Houston Center complex will now provide 3.7 million sf. Debbie Wilson, Crescent leasing manager has represented 5 Houston Center LP in the lease. Ed Prejean and Garrold Parratt of the Staubach Co. have acted on the law firm's behalf.
