The buyer appears to be locally-based Davis Cos. but John Davis would neither confirm nor deny the deal. "The parties are bound by a confidentiality agreement," he tells GlobeSt.com. Skip Colcord, spokesperson for Polaroid was equally circumspect.

"We have nothing to announce yet," he says. When asked about the company's asking price for the campus Colcord tells GlobeSt.com that the company "let the market establish the price" for the property.

The final selling price had broad implications for Polaroid, which is in the process of trying to pay down its debt. The company recently sold two of its buildings in Cambridge for $35.7 million.
