The $2.5-million deal will allow the tenant, L-3 Communications, to expand its manufacturing operations in Southern California. The New York-based firm currently occupies a 119,000-sf building in Anaheim. It will bring approximately 100 employees to the Rancho Dominguez facility, which stands at 19520 S. Wilmington Ave.
L-3 Communications plans to invest more than $1 million in interior improvements to the building, which will house both manufacturing and office workers. In addition to secure communications systems, L-3 also provides avionics and ocean products, microwave components and other technology-related items to clients that include the Department of Defense.
Tres Ried and Forrest Wylder of CB Richard Ellis represented L-3 Communications. The landlord, Watson Land Co., was represented in-house.
