LONDON-West End office rents have fallen for the first time since 1993 according to research from agent CB Hillier Parker. The CB Hillier Parker index fell by 0.5% over the first quarter of the year as average rents edged down from £59.13 per sf ($84.56) to £58.95 ($84.30) per sf.

Nick Ridley, head of West End agency at the firm, says: ‘There are some conflicting messages behind these figures and the fall in rents is by no means universal. There are few of the stellar deals that pushed the top rent achieved to a staggering £90 ($128.70) per sf.’
