According to company marketing manager Kate Cerusolo, Akibia Consulting wanted to stay in the city here because it helps attract and retain local talent and "project a certain image." From its offices here, Akibia provides CRM--customer relationship management--solutions to its clients. Akibia Consulting is part of Akibia Inc., which also provides clients with IT support services through Akibia IT Support Services based in Westborough, MA.
The company has also opened new offices in Chicago, San Francisco and Amsterdam in addition to its offices in New York and London. After recently tripling its number of employees, Akibia now employs over 540 people. Clients include Akamai Technologies Inc., PTC, Bose Corp., Monster.com, Citibank, and Scudder Threadneedle Investment Services Ltd.
