Prior to joining AMB in January 1999, Baird was a managing director of Morgan Stanley. Existing directors include Hamid R. Moghadam, T. Robert Burke, Daniel H. Case III, David A. Cole, Lynn M. Sedway, Jeffrey L. Skelton, Thomas W. Tusher and Caryl B. Welborn. All have served as directors for at least one prior term.

The annual meeting and election follows closely on the heels of a $335 million private partnership with GIC Real Estate Pte LTd., the real estate investment subsidiary of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. The co-investment venture will own and operate 50 industrial buildings in six U. S. metropolitan markets.

GIC has committed $75 million equity to invest in a portfolio of distribution facilities held by AMB. AMB contributed $76 million equity with a combination of cash and a contribution of properties. As the general partner AMB will receive distributions for acquisitions and asset management.
