AMB President Gains Seat on Board

SAN FRANCISCO-AMB Property Corp. stockholders re-elected eight of the nine members of the company’s board of directors at its annual meeting last week. Douglas D. Abbey, chose not to stand for re-election and was replaced with W. Blake Baird, company president and chairman of its investment committee.

Prior to joining AMB in January 1999, Baird was a managing director of Morgan Stanley. Existing directors include Hamid R. Moghadam, T. Robert Burke, Daniel H. Case III, David A. Cole, Lynn M. Sedway, Jeffrey L. Skelton, Thomas W. Tusher and Caryl B. Welborn. All have served as directors for at least one prior term.

The annual meeting and election follows closely on the heels of a $335 million private partnership with GIC Real Estate Pte LTd., the real estate investment subsidiary of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. The co-investment venture will own and operate 50 industrial buildings in six U. S. metropolitan markets.
