America Tower Makes International TOBY Face-Off

HOUSTON-America Tower's renovation is on its way to an international competition for BOMA's prestigious TOBY award. Cushman & Wakefield of Texas had overseen the redo of the 43-story, one-million sf office structure in the Montrose submarket.

HOUSTON-The award-winning renovation for the 43-story America Tower in the inner loop-Montrose submarket is on its way to an international competition in Baltimore. The project has copped local and regional TOBY awards as well as two prestigious contractors association honors.

Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. had overseen the renovation of the one million-sf, class-A office building. American General Financial Group, which has its world headquarters in the building, is the owner of America Tower. Architectural firm Ziegler and Cooper had designed the multi-million dollar renovation. Redone areas include the front drive, lobby, building entry, architectural porte-cochere, multi-building security system, powered window washing platform, restroom upgrades, repairs and sealing, new flag pole and curtain wall cleaning.
