"This is essential as it allows us to bring together as many possible form of information in one central location," Jonathan Green, CIO, Colliers International team leader for northern California, Nevada and Texas tells GlobeSt.com "The application will have specific integration capabilities including market, industry and related applications which allows Colliers brokers to access the information from anywhere."
Delphi Group Research predicts the portal software market will reach $2 billion by 2003. In its most recent report on the subject, Delphi reports that the business portal software market topped $405 million in 2000, up 128% compared to 1999. The market advisor also found that Plumtree Software led the portal applications segment with 12.8% market share.
In addition to Colliers, venture-funded Plumtree announced another corporate portal client in the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a nationwide organization of licensed architects and allied professionals. Other brand-name clients include Procter & Gamble, BP, Ford Motor Company, Kmart, UTC Aerospace, State Street and Motorola.
Plumtree investors include Sequoia Capital of Menlo Park, CA, H&Q Plumtree Investors of San Francisco and Intel Corp. In it's S-1 filing last September, Plumtree reported $3.4 million in revenue for fiscal 1999, and a net loss of $7 million. The company has yet to go public.
