Colliers Hangs Corporate Portal on Plumtree

SAN FRANCISCO, CA-Colliers International is using locally based Plumtree Software to improve the efficiency of its 100-office network. The Boston-based brokerage’s is using the leader in corporate portals to create a single desktop from which brokers, owners and asset managers can access and share the market research, client profiles and customer relationship management tools necessary to advise investors, identify cross-sell and repeat-business opportunities and speed property sales and leases.

“This is essential as it allows us to bring together as many possible form of information in one central location,” Jonathan Green, CIO, Colliers International team leader for northern California, Nevada and Texas tells GlobeSt.com “The application will have specific integration capabilities including market, industry and related applications which allows Colliers brokers to access the information from anywhere.”

Delphi Group Research predicts the portal software market will reach $2 billion by 2003. In its most recent report on the subject, Delphi reports that the business portal software market topped $405 million in 2000, up 128% compared to 1999. The market advisor also found that Plumtree Software led the portal applications segment with 12.8% market share.
