LOS ANGELES-Construction has begun on The Atrium, a $70-million office and retail project within El Segundo’s Continental Park, the 3-million-sf mixed-use complex that stands one mile west of the San Diego Freeway and two miles south of Los Angeles International Airport.

Slated to encompass 290,000 sf, the speculative Atrium development will include twin, five-story Class A office towers. The L-shaped, multi-tenant facilities are designed to accommodate leases from 25,000 sf to 58,000 sf. Plans call for floor plates, ranging in size from 25,000 sf to 29,000 sf, that will connect on the fourth and fifth floors to provide up to 58,000 contiguous sf of leasable space.
