The leases are the latest in a series between TNT and ProLogis. With the latest deals, TNT leases 2.4 million sf from ProLogis in nine buildings in the United Kingdom, France and Italy.
"We already have an extensive relationship with TNT in the UK and France -- providing them with high-quality buildings in a timely manner,'' says Ranald Hahn, senior vice president for ProLogis. '' We are pleased to continue the relationship by developing these five facilities, making TNT our largest customer in Europe."
TNT will use 667,000 sf in the Europort Park in Vatry to distribute Fiat spare parts throughout France, Germany and Benelux. The center will employ more than 300 people.
In Milan, Italy, TNT will lease 1.1 million sf from ProLogis in the Seliport Industrial Park. It will be the largest distribution center in Italy from a private developer. TNT will employ more than 500 people at the facility. Construction begins in October and will be completed in late summer 2002.
ProLogis owns, manages or has under development a total of 196.9 million sf of distribution facilities in 98 global markets.
