The portfolio comprises 26 multi-let estates and totals 1.22 million sf.Workspace plans to reinvest the proceeds on building up its presence in its core market in London and the South East.
Chief Executive Harry Platt said: Our Midlands portfolio has performed very well. However, we have proved that we can deliver improved returns from investing in opportunities in the Capital and the South-East. This disposal will provide the firepower to strengthen our dominant position as the leading supplier of space for new and small businesses in London.
Platt said the company planned to double the floor space under management in the region over the next five years.
