WASHINGTON, DC-The Mortgage Bankers Association’s Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending May 11 had been at 560.4, but fell the week ending May 18 to 475.4. This survey issued today, May 30, for the week ending May 25, shows the index has crawled back up to 495.9. The increase from the week ending May 25 from May 28 was 4.3%.

The study released May 23 found that the market composite index of mortgage loan applications for the week ending May 18 decreased 15.2% from the previous week. This was a drop from 560.4 to 475.4.
