Webb Appoints Winter Park Committee

DENVER-Mayor Wellington Webb, who is resisting putting the property on the market, names nine members to a committee charged with finding a joint venture partner to operate the Winter Park ski resort.

DENVER-Mayor Wellington Webb has created a committee to find a joint venture partner to team up with the city to operate the Winter Park ski resort. Last month, Webb decided to pursue a joint venture partner rather than sell the resort, irking some members of the committee who also wanted to pursue an outright sale.

The committee will evaluate companies’ qualifications, as well as their proposals.

The group will at first evaluate submittals for requests for qualifications and then for request for proposals. Deadlines for both the RFQ and the RFP have not been set.
