"Being the first integrated telecommunications provider in the WorldTrade Center provides us with the chance to prove ourselves to the businesses there," says Joe Gillette, president and CEO of Eureka GGN. Never mind superior--they're still in existence. Some of the companies hardest hit by the stock market fallout have been EurekaGGN's competitors.
"As one of the world's most recognizable office centers, the World Trade Center is a showcase opportunity to install the most advanced technology," says Alan Reiss, director of the World Trade Center at thePA. "The PA and New York Telecomm Partners evaluated many of the region's top telecommunications companies and selected the EurekaGGN group for its technology expertise and experience in working in large commercial office buildings."
The BRAM fiber-optic infrastructure will provide a carrier-neutral environment for any telecommunications service provider to deliver redundant solutions within the WTC complex. Open competition among telecomm service providers will provide tenants with several service choices. Carriers and service providers will benefit from lower start-up costs and ready access to existing customers.
The wiring of Tower One is scheduled for completion by fall of this year. When finished, over 1,500 miles of wire will be laid in the complex.
