Carpeting, heating, air and ventilation products are among the big-ticket items the locally based retailer will be pushing in the second half, as it moves forward with previously-announced plans to open a total 200 new stores this year.
Home Depot projects a 40% compounded annual growth rate in its home services through 2004. Last year, home services accounted for $2 billion in sales. In the last four years, total revenue has doubled to $46.7 billion.
For the 13 weeks ended April 29, net sales rose 10% to $12.2 billion. Net income increased less than 1% to $632 billion.
