Police officials say Downtown businesses should hire their own securityservices, although police will be out in full force that week. Police and city officials are holding informational meetings for the businesscommunity in the weeks before the convention.
Last year's Biotechnology Industry Organization conference in Bostonattracted an estimated 4,000 protesters. Bio2001 will feature business development and science sessions, networking events and more than 750 exhibits for registered participants.
