The two-story facility will rise on a 1.5-acre site that is located at Rosencrans and Aviation. When completed, it will encompass 23,986 sf. Designed by Nadel Architects Inc. and constructed by Snyder Langston, the building will feature large window walls and tiled stonework.

The Continental Business Center will stand within Aviation Center, a recently opened business complex that contains two extended-stay hotels, Marriot Spring Hill Suites and Marriott TownPlace, as well as the TRW Federal Credit Union and the FAA Western Federal Credit Union.

The Hawthorne office building is the second project that Continental Development Corp. has launched in the past week. Construction on the Atrium, a $70-million office and retail project within El Segundo's Continental Park, began last Friday, as reported by GlobeSt.com.

Slated to encompass 290,000 sf, the speculative Atrium development will include twin, five-story class A office towers and a 10,000-sf retail portion. Completion of the complex is projected for late 2001.
