The company zeroed in on Napa because of the concentration of wine-industry workers, the availability of space and the proximity to Rosemount's joint-venture partner Robert Mondavi Winery.
Southcorp currently has 42-full time employees in its Monterey headquarters, and Rosemount has 16 workers in its offices in Sonoma. The as-yet unselected Napa site will house about 60 people initially. Glen Dowling of Cushman & Wakefield is helping Southcorp Wines in its search.
