Milliken Project Management hopes to bring a little of New York to this city's Queen Anne neighborhood when it completes TriBeCa, a retail, office and residential project at the corner of West Mercer Street and First Avenue West. The development will include a new Safeway store along with 51 condominium units and townhouses in one of the more coveted residential areas in the Puget Sound region.

Leslie Williams, president of Williams Marketing, says the condos would range from $200,000-$700,000. Approximately 3,700 sf of street-level retail space would be included along with underground parking.

Milliken, which has partnered with Paul Allen's Vulcan Northwest on a nearby project in the South Lake Union district, has local experience in the supermarket-based, mixed-use concept. It redeveloped the old Hansen Baking site that now includes a Larry's Market. The TriBeCa project, whose name is derived from a New York neighborhood, is expected to be completed in Spring 2002.
