A source within Stage Stores tells GlobeSt.com that Steen has asked Stage to modify and amend its disclosure statement by June 6. The changes include a copy of the solicitation letter that Stage Stores plans to send in a creditors' vote solicitation to approve its third amended reorganization plan; a liquidation analysis explaining unreserved claims; list of officers and directors of the reorganized company and their compensations plus any amendments that the company would like to make.
According to the source, Stage's bankruptcy lawyers, Jenkens & Gilchrist have established a bankruptcy Web site with copies of pleadings and other pertinent information on the proceedings.
Steen will hold a hearing June 29 to rule on the adequacy of the amended statement. The court also has set a hearing for Aug. 8 to consider and confirm the final reorganization plan.
