Laguna Beach Hikes Hotel Bed Tax

LAGUNA BEACH-A measure raising the bed tax at all 26 Laguna Beach hotels has been approved. The ordinance, which will go into effect on July 1, will raise the bed tax from 10% to 12%.

LAGUNA BEACH-The Laguna Beach City Council has recently passed a measure that will increase the bed tax at city hotels from 10% to 12%.

The ordinance, which had already been approved by the majority of the city’s lodging facilities before the City Council vote, calls for the creation of a Hotel Assessment District. All of Laguna Beach’s 26 lodging facilities that are subject to the current hotel tax are included in the district, according to City Manager Ken Frank. The new tax will go into effect on July 1.
