By housing the co-generation facility, the building will give 100 watts per sf of uninterrupted electric power with nearly 100% availability at the tenant's premises, delivered at the computer-grade electric standard. Heat from the process will be used to produce chilled water to cool the occupied space within the building.
Floor sizes will range from 65,000 sf to 82,000 sf. There will be 14-foot height ceilings, column spacing of 30 feet by 30 feet and floor loads of up to 250 per sf. New York-bases Fox & Fowle are the project design architects and NK Engineers will design the co-generation facility.
Also, Trigen Energy will build and operate the facility in contract with Durst. Einhorn, Yaffee, Prescott Architecture and Engineering PC will design the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Barnes Wentworth will plan the fiber delivery systems. Severud Associates will handle the structural design.
