Silicon Valley Cos., based in Los Gatos, has taken title to the Township Apartments at 1295 N. Ash St. P.B. Bell & Cos., a Scottsdale-based apartment development firm, had developed the complex. The Phoenix office of Hendricks & Partners, with brokers Mark Forrester, Bob Bruno and Andrew Tate, have represented both parties in the transaction.
The six-year-old complex is just south of Baseline Road, west of Gilbert Road and practically on the border of Mesa in the master-planned community of Township. The Superstition freeway is less than a mile to the north.
The complex's selling price is well below the average for properties of comparable age, according to a survey by Hendricks & Partners. The average price paid for apartment complexes built since 1995 is $73,540 per unit or $77.67 per sf. Average rents on apartments in the Mesa area is $632 per month in comparison to $668 Valleywide.
