The space will serve as the West Coast headquarters of Frenkel & Co. Inc., the insurance brokerage firm. Frenkel of California is a subsidiary of the New York-based company.

Built in 1985, Ernst & Young Plaza encompasses 313,000 sf. It is located at 725 S. Figueroa St. Nico Vilgiate of Insignia/ESG represented the tenant. The building owner, TrizecHahn, was represented in-house by Andrew Stewart.

Frenkel is the second tenant to sign on at Ernst & Young Plaza in the last month. In May, Lockton Insurance Brokers inked a 10-year renewal lease for 47,984 sf at the building, as reported by GlobeSt.com. Although none of the parties involved would disclose the dollar value of the deal, brokers estimated its value to be about $12 million.
