Finfrock Wins $11.9 Mil College Contract

ORLANDO-The 55-year-old, locally based precast concrete specialty firm is breaking ground in August on an innovative seven-story, 230,000-sf mixed-use building that will house five floors of parking, one level of retail and two floors of student dormitories for Palm Beach Atlantic College.

ORLANDO-Finfrock Design-Manufacture-Construct Inc. is breaking ground in August for Palm Beach Atlantic College in Palm Beach, FL on an $11.9 million, 230,000-sf, seven-story mixed-use structure that will house five floors of parking (525 spaces), two floors of student dormitories (188 beds) and ground-level retail.

Completion is tentatively scheduled for July 2002.

What makes the project innovative is that it is being built with precast concrete components at a plant 175 miles from the construction site at 25% less than a stick-built, on-site project.
