LOS ANGELES-G.H. Palmer Associates, the development company that helped to start Downtown LA’s apartment boom when it began building its $90-million Medici complex at Seventh and Bixel streets two years ago, says it will begin a second large multifamily development in the area within a few weeks.

Its new, 297-unit Orsini complex will rise on a three-acre parcel bounded by Sunset Boulevard, Figueroa Street, and the intersection of the Harbor (110) and Hollywood (101) freeways. Geoff Palmer, the company’s owner, says he’ll market the project to the same type of upscale tenants who have fully leased the Medici’s first phase.
