Carlson Restaurants Buys Stix and Pick Up Stix

MINNETONKA, MN-The restaurant chains are built primarily in shopping centers. The 51 Pick Up Stix restaurants and one Stix restaurant in California and Nevada range from 1,400 sf to 2,500 sf.

MINNETONKA, MN-Carlson Restaurants Worldwide has agreed to buy Stix and Pick Up Stix restaurant concepts from Charles Zhang and the shareholders of Pick Up Stix Inc. Pick Up Stix. The restaurants are located primarily in shopping centers and feature “Americanized-Chinese food.”

They now will become its own division within Carlson Restaurants, which itself is adivision of Carlson Cos. Zhang will continue to head up the San Clemente, CA, concept.
