Alderman of Bee Cave Village Vote Today on Retail Project

AUSTIN-Bee Cave aldermen will be voting today on an 18,000-sf retail center fronting Bee Cave Road, now that zoning issues have been resolved. If the vote is favorable, ground could break between July and August.

AUSTIN-Carr Development Inc., based in Austin, is crossing its figurative fingers as the VBee Cave Village aldermen prepare to vote today on a proposed retail development at the Uplands Residential entrance.

The project has been hung up while the developer and zoning commission resolve zoning issues, Mimi Heiman, Carr vice president, tells GlobeSt.com. “I think we’ve gotten straight with the city,” she says.

If the board approves the development, work could begin between July 1 and Aug. 1, Heiman says. The Bee Cave Zoning Commission has approved the change.
