WorldCom, which owned the property after acquiring MCI in 1998, moved to a new campus in Loudoun County. The building, which features two separate entrances and exits to a parking garage, had been vacant for the past few months as the last of MCI's employees moved to the new offices.

Winkler had the property under contract since September, and is the Alexandria, VA-based company's first wholly owned office space in Washington, DC. The purchase price works out to $220 per sf.
