WASHINGTON, DC-With Mark Winkler Cos.’ recent closing of the $44-million purchase of the former MCI Communications headquarters at 1801 Pennsylvania Ave., Cushman & Wakefield has been named the exclusive leasing company for the 13-story office building. Located at the corner of 18th Street, one block from the Farragut West Metro stop, it is the single largest block of class A space available on Pennsylvania Avenue and offers 175,000 sf of rentable space, according to C&W.

WorldCom, which owned the property after acquiring MCI in 1998, moved to a new campus in Loudoun County. The building, which features two separate entrances and exits to a parking garage, had been vacant for the past few months as the last of MCI’s employees moved to the new offices.
