GlobeSt.com Honored by Real Estate Journalists

NEW YORK CITY-The National Association of Real Estate Editors has recognized GlobeSt.com at its annual awards ceremony, held this year in Salt Lake City. Some 200 professional journalists competed in a variety of categories in the 51st annual awards race.

NEW YORK CITY-GlobeSt.com is now an award-winning website. The National Association of Real Estate Editors bestowed Best Website honors to GlobeSt.com at its annual convention in Salt Lake City this weekend. GlobeSt.com–not quite a year old–walked away with second place kudos, bested only by the Chicago Tribune. No other trade site placed in the awards competition, the 51st held by NAREE. Editorial director Michael Desiato was on hand to receive the award.

More than 200 professional journalists from across the US competed in 15 different categories for this year’s honors. The winners were selected by a panel of judges from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. On the panel were Professor Patrick S. Washburn and doctoral candidates Jan Knight and Lee Wood. All are former news reporters and editors.
