Teligent to Pull Plug on Some Property Owners

ORANGE COUNTY, CA-The company, which signed up more than 35,000 businesses for its wireless communications services, has notified several California property owners and businesses that service will end June 25. Other regions may also be affected.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA-Teligent Inc., which signed up more than 35,000 commercial property owners and businesses for its once-promising wireless communications services before filing for bankruptcy last month, says it will cut off service to many of its customers on June 25.

Virginia-based Teligent recently sent form letters about the impending cutoff to a number of owners and businesses in Orange County, San Diego and San Jose. Teligent spokeswoman Tita Thompson won’t say what other markets across the US might also be affected, but that the company will continue to service customers in Los Angeles.
